About Us
Reynolds is a family-owned early childhood company in Abilene, Texas that began with a simple interest in woodworking and a deep love for children. What started out as a small backyard project of building an item or two for a child has developed into an entrepreneurial adventure into the world of early childhood education.
From using a radial arm saw made in the 1940’s to running the latest computerized CNC router equipment; from selling a few wooden shelves to a full-line education company; Reynolds has grown from those humble backyard beginnings in 1987 to a nationally recognized early childhood company.
We’ve grown from that small backyard shop to an award winning early childhood company serving all 50 states. With growth spurred by the national interest in early childhood education, Reynolds is still dedicated to the original mission of focusing on children and teachers in early childhood education. As childcare and education markets have changed, our founding principle of providing quality furniture, equipment, and other products to foster lifelong learning for children has remained constant.
From our offices and warehouse located in central Texas, we have furnished thousands of classrooms over the last 24 years. With an experienced, professional staff, we now distribute a complete range of early childhood products. Our cabinet shop produces thousands of furniture items each year. We continue to offer the best service, innovative products, and classroom solutions to our early childhood programs.
Reynolds believes strongly in our nation’s educational community. We have developed partnerships with hundreds of schools, child care centers, Head Starts, and churches in our efforts to engage and inspire children and teachers. Our company continuously looks for ways to provide children and teachers with innovative products and services.
Reynolds is committed to our nation’s early childhood programs. Daily we give our gift of time and effort to support children and teachers in a variety of ways. Whether donating furniture to re-equip flooded Head Start classrooms, providing pro bono workshops and in-service trainings, devoting time to serve on child care center boards, gifting furniture re-finishing to a non-profit child care center, or furnishing complimentary installation service to schools and churches, Reynolds actively supports and “gives back” to our communities.
Reynolds is committed to our nation’s environment. Our environment is a treasure that we want to share with future generations. We are stewards of our environment and our company’s operations and policies strive to protect and preserve our environment. Reynolds minimizes waste, uses recycled content such as corrugate and paper whenever possible, conserves our natural resources, and complies with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
We encourage you to join us as we work daily to help educators encourage and inspire children on a lifelong journey of learning.
